What is a token network?

For our context, tokens can be referred to as cryptocurrency. They hold a few common characteristics:

1. Tokens use a blockchain protocol to define parameters

2. Tokens can be owned via a public address associated with the protocol

While token economies stem from the common thread of all using a cryptocurrency network, there is a wide spectrum of the way token economics manifest in practice.
